Repair work on the Mississippi River bridge in Sartell will start Tuesday, Sept. 4.
Traffic will be shifted to the north side of the bridge while the south side is repaired. One narrow lane will be open in each direction.
The speed limit will be 20 mph during the work.
In about four weeks, traffic will be shifted to the south side of the bridge while the north side is repaired.
The bridge repair includes replacing expansion joints in the bridge, a new concrete barrier wall and a metal railing on the north side.
Other work under the deck includes concrete bridge beam repair, concrete surface repair of pier caps and repositioning bridge beam bearing pads. Work is expected to be complete by mid November.
