St. Joseph Mayor Rick Schultz will run unopposed for another two-year term.

No other candidates filed for mayor when the filing period closed Aug. 14 for offices that do not have primaries.

Three candidates filed for two open seats on the City Council. Incumbents Dale Wick and Anne Buckvold will be joined on the Nov. 6 ballot by Brian Theisen.

Council members serve four-year terms.

Buckvold was appointed to the council in May after the resignation of Matt Killam.
