Sept. 12
8 p.m. College Avenue N./Minnesota Street. Officer was dispatched to a loud -music complaint near College Avenue and Minnesota Street. The anonymous male complainant was upset over the loud music. Bad Habit has an outdoor event which they have a permit for until 10 p.m. No reason for any contact.
Sept. 13
8:56 p.m. First Avenue NW. Officer was dispatched to a 911 hang-up. Upon arrival, officer spoke with the residents. The resident stated a smoke alarm is connected to the landline and it calls dispatch when it goes off. No issues upon officer’s arrival.
Sept. 15
1:05 a.m. Sixth Avenue NW. While patrolling, officer noticed a dog cross Minnesota Street W and had to slow down in order not to hit dog. Officer tried to get the dog to come and followed the dog a residence where the dog sat down in the garage. Offier informed day shift of the incident and had them give the residents a warning for dog at large. Officer stopped at the residence the next morning and made contact with a male who advised the dog owner was at work. Officer informed the male of the complaint and told the resident the dog has to be under control at all times. Officer asked the male to pass the message on to the owner and to have the owner call the department with any questions. Officer spoke with dog owner again, who said they had just moved to town. Officer explained how to get a dog permit and told resident they need to get one within 10 days of today.
Sept. 17
10:29 p.m. Vehicle in ditch. CR 133. Officer was in the area when a vehicle- in-the-ditch call was created near Scenic Specialties. The complainant was on CR 133 when he observed a vehicle leave the lot at a high rate of speed and end up in the ditch between an address sign and a culvert. No vehicle description. Officer checked the area and did not find any vehicles in the ditch; however saw tire tracks in the grass. Continued to check the area, unable to locate.
