George Lock was recently appointed court administrator for Stearns County District Court by judges in Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District. Lock will replace Timothy Roberts, who recently retired after more than 32 years of service with the Minnesota Judicial Branch.
Lock has worked for the Seventh Judicial District in various capacities for 15 years. He has served as the Mille Lacs County Court Administrator for the past nine years and is currently the multi-county Court Administrator for Mille Lacs and Todd counties. Lock is also a certified court executive through the National Center for State Courts, and possesses various post-graduate degrees in legal studies from the United Kingdom. Lock is currently a member of the Drug Court Initiative Advisory Committee of the Minnesota Judicial Council.
As Court Administrator, Lock will oversee Court Administration staff in Stearns County. The office provides staff support for a full range of court operations for the district court, including processing and management of all records and files of the court, as well as providing services to the public, other county offices and the judiciary.
Lock’s appointment becomes effective Aug. 12.
