Feb. 14
5:28 p.m. Assist agency. Highway 15. Sartell police and fire departments were dispatched to a vehicle crash with injuries. Officers were advised State Patrol was enroute too. Officers arrived on scene and assisted with parties who sustained minor injuries. Officer then assisted with traffic control and gathering information from people involved. State Patrol arrived and wrote the crash.
Feb. 15
4:13 p.m. Crash. Pinecone Road S. An officer was requested out in front of the Public Safety Facility for a crash with no injuries. The officer found a vehicle had stalled, another one had stopped to avoid a collision. The third vehicle was not able to stop in time for the second vehicle and rear ended it. No injuries were noted, no witnesses and the officer took photos for the crash report.
Feb. 16
11:04 a.m. Traffic stop. Riverside Avenue. An officer was running stationary radar and saw a vehicle approaching at a high rate of speed. The officer clocked the vehicle at 51 mph. The officer received good tone and no interferences from the radar. The vehicle was stopped near Kwik Trip; the officer identified the driver. The driver told the officer she knew she was going fast. The driver was cited for speeding and released.
Feb. 17
9:41 p.m. Threats. First Street S. Referee of hockey game requested police response for verbal threats from an individual in the audience. An officer escorted the referees to the parking lot. No issues.
Feb. 18
9:54 a.m. Suspicious activity. Roberts Road. An officer was dispatched for a suspicious person. A woman was out running with her daughter and a man dressed in all black yelled at her. She said the man went toward the apartments and lost sight of him. The officer checked the area for the man and did not locate him.
Feb. 19
12:30 a.m. Intoxicated person. Fourth Avenue S. Officers were dispatched to a man self-reporting he was too intoxicated to walk the rest of the way home. The man was located on Fourth Avenue S., north of Heritage Drive. The man advised he did not need medical treatment and needed a ride home. Officers transported the man home and escorted him to his apartment where he said his wife was home.
Feb. 20
11:04 a.m. Vehicle in ditch. Heritage Drive. An officer was dispatched for a vehicle in the ditch. Officer arrived and found the vehicle in the roundabout with a snapped off front tire. The driver had called for a tow, but due to the weather the tow truck was going to be delayed. Officer advised the driver to vacate his vehicle and go to the parking lot and sit with his wife in a different car due to the location. The tow arrived and the officer had to block the traffic lane for loading.
