Angela Safran will be the new Sartell Middle School principal, the district announced recently.
Safran was the Holdingford secondary school principal serving grades seven through 12 and the district assessment coordinator since 2018.
Prior to 2018, she taught language arts and college-in-the-schools writing and literature at Holdingford. She began her teaching career at Webster Schroeder High School in Webster, New York.
“Out of a pool of many exceptional candidates for our middle school principal position, Angela Safran stood apart thanks to her experience as a secondary administrator, her instructional leadership and engaging personality,” said Superintendent Jeff Ridlehoover in a statement. “We are excited for Angela to share her leadership experience with our sixth- through eighth-grade students, staff and families.”
“I have worked with middle and high school students for nearly 20 years and I am thrilled to become part of the Sartell-St. Stephen school district’s team,” Safran said in a statement. “The district is known for its high standards, excellence and community support.”
Safran succeeds Laura Arndt, who accepted a position with the Sauk Rapids-Rice school district.
