Oct. 17
5:40 p.m. Warrant. CR 120. While conducting a routine license-plate check, an officer learned the owner of the vehicle had an active warrant for their arrest. The officer conducted a traffic stop and the owner confirmed his identification and was arrested. The individual was transported to Stearns County Jail.
Oct. 18
5 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. Starlight Drive. A citizen called about a suspicious vehicle near their property. When officers arrived, the vehicle was leaving with a broken taillight. The officer stopped the vehicle and learned the driver had an active warrant for their arrest. When taken into custody the individual had marijuana in their possession. The individual was cited for the marijuana and transported to the Stearns County Jail.
Oct. 19
6:45 a.m. Suspicious person. Twin Rivers Court. A citizen called police about a suspicious person looking into cars. When officers approached the individual, he gave the officers two false names and refused to cooperate further. Officers took the man into custody and transported him to Stearns County Jail. Stearns County identified the individual and he was cited for giving a false name to police and held on another warrant for his arrest.
Oct. 20
6:05 p.m. Crash. Heritage Drive. Officers responded to a crash where a vehicle struck a light pole. An individual complained about pain but did not want to be transported to the hospital. Officers gave the victim a ride back to her residence where a friend would look after her.
Oct. 21
9 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. Fourth Avenue S. A citizen called about a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot. Officers arrived and witnessed drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view while talking to the persons within the vehicle. Individuals were detained while the vehicle was searched. The individuals were arrested based on amount and type of drugs in possession. They were transported to Stearns County Jail.
Oct. 22
9:15 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. 17th Street N. A citizen called about a suspicious vehicle in front of her residence. When officers arrived and questioned the individuals, the issue was resolved. The individual was being picked up by their significant other.
Oct. 23
12:10 a.m. Fraud. CR 120. An individual called police about having his credit card used without his permission. The store where it was used notified police they would pull the video of the individual who used it.
