The Diabetes Prevention Program will help you lose 5% of your body weight, increase physical activity, learn about healthy eating, learn motivation strategies, and learn to manage stress, solve problems, and avoid negative thinking. This evidence-based, lifestyle change program is designed for people with pre-diabetes. The community-centered classes include topics such as eating healthier, reducing stress, and increasing physical activity. This workshop will meet from 9-10 a.m. on Tuesdays beginning April 19th through July 26th. Register here:

The Sartell Summerfest Volunteer Committee is excited to welcome back Summerfest to Sartell in June. The date will be June 11th starting with the parade at 10 AM and ending with fireworks at 10:15 PM.
Granite Logistics Parade: The parade portion will begin at 10 AM and will have an alternate route in 2022 due to road construction on County Road 1. The route will go from outside of the Sartell-St. Stephen District Service Center building to Riverview Intermediate School. The route is attached. Thank you to Granite Logistics for sponsoring the parade.
Libertyville: The kid’s event will feature face painting, bounce houses, games, and other free activities, including the VoigtJohnson BBQ. The event is held from 11 AM – 3 PM at Sartell City Hall. Thank you to Liberty Bank for sponsoring Libertyville.
Great River Bowl and Partners Pub Street Dance: The Street Dance will feature the band Radio Nation and will begin at 6:30 PM and conclude at 10 PM. The Street Dance will be held in the Sartell City Hall parking lot. Thank you to Great River Bowl and Partners Pub for sponsoring the Street Dance.
Fireworks: Summerfest fireworks will begin at 10:15 PM and will be launched from Pinemeadow Primary School. If you are attending the Street Dance the fireworks will be viewable from the City Hall parking lot. Otherwise Sartell Middle School will have ample parking to view the fireworks and some limited lawn seating will be available on the west side of Pinemeadow School.
The Summerfest committee has partnered with Scheels Athletic Complex to use as the main parking lot for both Libertyville and the Street Dance. Patrons will be able to utilize the path through Pinecone Regional Park (in-between Scheels Athletic Complex and City Hall) to get to and from the events.

In 2022, the Stearns History Museum is bringing back Whippersnapper Hour! This program lets kids get their hands on history, with engaging and interactive activities that bring the past to life.
At this month’s “Whippersnapper Hour,” kids (ages 7-13) are invited for a crash course at the Spy School! Kids will learn all about the different secret spy tactics used during World War II, with everything from Morse Code to writing messages in invisible ink! Then, they will be forced to put those skills to use in order to solve a mystery right here in the museum.
Join us from 10-11 on Saturday, June 11 for “Spy School! Cost is $3/child (nonmembers) and members are free.
