I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciated your article about Chief Joel Klein (in the June 15 edition).

It takes courage to write such a statement in a time when someone’s credibility is being questioned, with very little detail given about why.

I’m glad that you wrote what you did. It was touching and heartfelt. It affected me and caused me to think about the conclusions I sometimes jump to in such circumstances. You encouraged me to do otherwise, and I appreciate that.

I would also like to thank Chief Joel Klein and all law enforcement for their service and the sacrifices they make to provide us freedom and safety, which we so often take for granted. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and please know that your service is not in vain, and is much appreciated!
