March 22

2:34 a.m. Intoxicated person. Evergreen Drive. Officers were dispatched to a local business for a report of an intoxicated person inside who was causing problems and had urinated on the front door to the building. Officers located the person who provided a breath sample of .27. The person was transported to jail on charges of disorderly conduct.

3:08 a.m. Assist business. 1700 Block Pinecone Road S. Officers were dispatched to assist a taxi driver with locating a residence for a person they were transporting that was too intoxicated to give an address. The intoxicated person also did not speak English. Officers were able to get in contact with friends of the intoxicated person and locate the person’s home. The taxi driver transported the person without incident.

March 23

10:01 p.m. Traffic stop. Benton Drive. While on patrol, an officer located a vehicle with no license-plate lights. The officer also found the vehicle tabs were expired as of January. Upon speaking with the driver, he/she said they have been busy with work and have not had time to get new tabs. The driver was issued a citation for expired registration.

11:30 p.m. Vandalism to vehicle. 800 block of CR 120. Officers were dispatched to a local business for a report of vehicle tires that had been slashed. Officers spoke with the complainant who advised they were having issues with a member of their family and believed that person may have slashed their tires in retaliation. There was no camera footage in the area that showed the vehicle. Officers attempted contact with the possible suspect but were unsuccessful.

March 24

4:46 p.m. 911 hang-up. 2100 block of Third Street N. Officers were dispatched to a residence for a call into 911 and then the phone hung up shortly afterward. It was unknown if there was an emergency. Officers responded and learned the call was made by children who were in another room, playing with a phone. A parent was on scene and an officer spoke with the children regarding proper use of 911.

5:08 p.m. Juvenile problem. 11th Avenue E. Officers were dispatched for an argument between an adult and two juveniles outside a building. Officers located all parties involved who stated they were arguing about a relationship between the juveniles and the parent’s disapproval. One of the juveniles had an injury to the hand from punching a garage door, but refused medical attention. It was determined no crime had occurred and all parties said they did not want assistance from police.

March 25

3:45 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. Lowell Lane. Officers were dispatched to check on a suspicious enclosed trailer that had been parked in the area for an extended period of time. Officer located the trailer and upon further investigation, learned the trailer was stolen out of a nearby city. Officers were able to make contact with the owners who responded and took custody of their trailer. It was determined items inside the trailer were taken as well, but not recovered.

11:38 p.m. Welfare check. 700 block of 19th Avenue N. Officers were dispatched to check the welfare of a person who was believed to be intoxicated and was not answering their phone. While on scene, the person officers were looking for arrived in a vehicle. It was determined the person was not over the limit to be driving and the person said he/she felt their family was only creating drama by calling the police. The complainant was contacted by officers and advised of their findings.

March 26

6:27 a.m. Burglary. CR 120. Officers were dispatched to a local business for a report of a burglary that had occurred. Officers checked the business and it was determined someone had made forced entry to an interior door and stole a safe. Camera footage of the suspect was obtained and investigation is ongoing.

10:04 p.m. Juvenile problem. 20th Avenue N. Officers were dispatched to a residence for a report of juveniles inside the residence while the homeowners were away. Upon arrival, it was determined the juveniles had been consuming alcohol. One of the juveniles had also fled on foot. The juveniles were issued citations for minor consumption and released to their guardians.

March 27

10:30 a.m. Traffic stop. 200 block of Pinecone Road S. While on patrol, an officer located a vehicle with a driver showing a license status as cancelled. The officer initiated a traffic stop and confirmed the driver’s status as cancelled. The driver was issued a citation for driving after cancellation and advised to contact the DMV as the driver said he/she thought they took care of the cancelled status.

4:59 p.m. Assist agency. CR 1. Officers were dispatched to assist another law enforcement agency with a missing juvenile in the woods. A K9 was deployed to search for the child and officers assisted with the search. The child was found a short time later.

March 28

11:17 a.m. Welfare check. Third Street S. Officers were dispatched to check the welfare of a person who had sent an email to another person, making mention of committing suicide. Officers located the person and spoke with them regarding the email. The person said he/she was intoxicated and had low self-esteem at the time the email was sent. The person was advised of many services available to them if they needed help. The person was left in the care of a friend.

12:39 p.m. Alarm. 700 block of Ninth Avenue N. Officers were dispatched for a building alarm. Officers checked the area and walked throughout the building. There were no alarms sounding and nothing appeared to be out of order. A keyholder was contacted who said he/she would take care of the issue and police assistance was no longer needed.
