May 10
10:04 a.m. Unwanted person. 120 Twin Rivers Court. Officers were dispatched to remove a male individual from McDonald’s Restaurant. Officers arrived on scene and located the individual passed out near the bathrooms. An officer performed a sternum rub to wake the male party. The male party continued to fall in and out of consciousness. Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene and the man was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.
1:05 p.m. Traffic stop. W. Hi-Vue Drive/First Street NE. While on routine patrol, an officer observed a vehicle east bound on the Sartell Bridge moving at a high rate of speed. The officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver admitted she didn’t know the speed limit and didn’t know how fast she was traveling. The driver provided a valid license and proof of insurance. The driver was verbally warned for her speed and released.
May 11
2:23 a.m. Medical. Sunburst Avenue. An officer was dispatched for an adult female with abdominal pain. Upon arrival the officer met with the patient. The officer gathered medical history and monitored the woman’s condition until Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene. The officer then assisted paramedics as necessary.
5:41 p.m. DWI. Riverside Avenue N/27th Street N. Officers were notified of a driving complaint. Officers located the vehicle in question and observed it cross the center line and almost hit the curb several times. The vehicle was stopped and an officer administered field sobriety testing. The driver failed all testing and had a preliminary breath test of 0.16. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also found in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to the Stearns County Jail.
May 12
4:30 a.m. Medical. Heritage Drive. An officer was dispatched for an 85-year-old male who had collapsed. Upon arrival the officer located the patient lying on the bathroom floor. The patient was conscious and breathing. The male stated he had become dizzy and fell while trying to get to the bathroom. Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene and the officer assisted as necessary.
4:03 p.m. Warrant. Hi-Vue Drive. While on routine patrol, an officer observed a vehicle parked outside of a residence. Upon running the registration of the vehicle, the officer discovered the male registered owner had an active warrant for his arrest. The officer made contact with the male at the residence and placed him under arrest. The male was transported to the Stearns County Jail without incident.
May 13
1:16 p.m. Medical. 16th Street N. An officer was dispatched as a first-responder regarding a 90-year-old female who believed she was in afib. The officer arrived on scene and located the patient lying in her bed. She stated she didn’t have any discomfort out of the ordinary but was tired. Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene and took over the assessment. The officer assisted paramedics as necessary.
8:48 p.m. Medical. Third Street NE. An officer was dispatched for a 40-year-old male having difficulty breathing. Upon arrival, the officer located the patient sitting in a chair. The patient had vomited, but was alert and oriented. The officer provided oxygen and monitored the man’s condition until Gold Cross Ambulance arrived.
May 14
12:54 p.m. Fight. 500 block of First Street NE. Officers were dispatched to Country Manor for a possible physical altercation involving two males. Upon arrival, officers observed the two males verbally arguing in the parking lot. Both parties were separated and interviewed separately. Officers determined nothing physical had occurred and that the altercation was only verbal.
2:07 p.m. Medical. Fourth Street N. Officers were dispatched for a male individual who had fallen off of a skateboard and was bleeding from the head. Upon arrival, officers observed the male party to be bleeding from above his left eye. An officer applied pressure to the wound with a large sterile pad. Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene and officers assisted as necessary.
May 15
7:06 p.m. Vehicle accident. Pinecone Road/2-1/2 Street. An officer was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, the officer met with both drivers, both of which were uninjured and explained the same story. Vehicle one was stopped at the intersection due to the traffic light being red. Driver of vehicle two stated he wasn’t paying attention causing a rear-end collision with vehicle one. The officer observed minor damage to both vehicles. The driver at fault was cited for inattentive driving.
May 16
8:28 p.m. Medical. Seventh Avenue S. Officers were dispatched to an intoxicated male who was unresponsive. Officers arrived on scene and located the male lying on his side asleep on the couch. The man had a strong pulse and was breathing. The male responded to painful stimuli only. Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene and transported the patient to the St. Cloud Hospital.
