June 19
7:40 p.m. Traffic stop. CR 1. An officer witnessed a vehicle not displaying any license plates and not displaying a temporary tag. The officer stopped the vehicle and the driver did not have a valid license and could not provide proof of insurance for the vehicle. The individual was cited for the infractions and the vehicle was towed.
June 20
10:45 a.m. Warrant arrest. 14th Avenue E. An officer was requested to assist with an individual on probation who had a warrant for their arrest. The officer arrived and worked with the probation officer to take the individual into custody without issue. The officer transported the individual to Stearns County Jail.
June 21
10:40 p.m. Traffic stop. First Street NE. An officer witnessed a vehicle traveling at a higher speed than the posted limit. The officer stopped the vehicle and the driver could not provide proof of insurance. The officer cited the driver for both infractions.
June 22
6:50 p.m. DWI. Fifth Street N. A citizen reported an individual drinking alcohol on school grounds and then attempting to leave in a vehicle. The officers stopped the vehicle and the individual was confrontational. The officers arrested the individual for DWI and transported him to Stearns County Jail.
June 23
12:50 a.m. Suspicious vehicle. Pinecone Road. An officer on patrol witnessed a vehicle pull behind a church. When the officer followed to investigate, the vehicle attempted to leave the parking lot. The officer stopped the vehicle and a search turned up marijuana and paraphernalia. The officer cited the juveniles and called their parents to explain the citations.
June 24
10:50 p.m. Argument. Seventh Avenue S. Officers were called about a verbal argument. Officers spoke with one of the individuals who was leaving for the evening to stay with a friend. The officers spoke with the other half of argument and advised ways to de-escalate when arguments get heated.
June 25
11:30 a.m. Suspicious activity. CR 120. An officer investigated the sound of gunshots at a regional park. The officer searched the area thoroughly and could not find signs of shooting but did discover a camp on park property. The officer notified city maintenance for the camp to be removed.
