An Albany woman was injured early Oct. 8 when she swerved her vehicle to miss a dead deer on CR 2 north of St. Joseph.
Kelly Lanners, 32, was driving north when she came upon a dead deer in the road. She swerved to miss it, drove into the east ditch and struck a sign, according to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
Lanners’ two young sons were backseat passengers and were not injured. Lanners was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for injuries the Sheriff’s Office said were not life-threatening.
The crash happened at 6:03 a.m. near the intersection with Norway Road.
St. Joseph Fire and Rescue assisted.
