Next year’s Sartell-St. Stephen school calendar is set.
With a later Labor Day, school will start on Tuesday, Sept. 8, and the school year will end on Thursday, June 3, for a total 172 instruction days. Friday, June 4, will be a teacher in-service day.
With major building moves planned over the summer, the later Labor Day will give teachers and administrators more time to settle into new classrooms.
The school board approved the calendar at its Dec. 16 meeting.
Classes will meet on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday in 2021, which will be Monday, Jan. 18. However, Friday, Jan. 22, will be a teacher workshop day and classes will not be in session.
Spring break will be March 29-April, 2, 2021. The following Monday, April 5, will be a teacher workshop day and a day off for students.
If needed, Feb. 15 and June 4 will be bad weather makeup days.
Seniors can look ahead to graduation on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
