Golfing, live music, dancing, vendor food and all-around fun will be featured at the “Swing into Summer” events this June at the Sartell Community Center.

All are invited to attend the free outdoor activities, presented by the Sartell-St. Stephen Community Education program in conjunction with the City of Sartell and with donations from at least a dozen local businesses.

The events are slated from 5 to 8 p.m. on June 8, 15, 22 and 29.

The city’s public-works department created a nine-hole mini-golf course on the grounds of the Sartell Community Center. Anyone who wants to golf must make reservations; call 320-258-7331. That course can also be rented by private parties this summer. Just call that same number.

Live music will be performed on the outdoor stage by the edge of Lake Francis next to the community center. The music sessions will take place from 6:30-8 p.m.

Snack-food items can be purchased from two food trucks that will be parked at the events.

People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

If there is a chance of inclement weather on any of the Tuesdays, some of the activities might be moved inside the center. That information will be updated throughout June on the center’s Facebook – Sartell Community Center.

The planning for “Swing into Summer” was coordinated by Kris O’Brien, director of Sartell-St. Stephen Community Education and manager of the community center; and Nikki Sweeter, engagement specialist for the City of Sartell.
