Emergency responder stickers are now available, free, for St. Joseph residents and for people throughout Stearns County.
The decals/stickers are notices that can be placed in windows of vehicles or homes that notify emergency responders (police, firefighters and others) of any medical or mental conditions of one or more people in the vehicle or house.
Here is an example: “Emergency Responders: An occupant may be DEAF OR HEARING IMPAIRED. Communication may be difficult.”
Four others are: Autism or Special Needs, Diabetic, Brain Injury or PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), Dementia or Alzheimers.
The stickers may be picked up at police departments in Stearns County or at the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.

Here are examples of the “Responder Stickers” now available free at area police departments.
