Farmers’ Market set Dec. 3
Come shop local at the Sartell Farmers’ Market from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Sartell Community Center, 850 19th St. S. You will find great items to eat and great gifts. Some of the items you will find include the following: meat, eggs, squash, potatoes, honey, caramel corn, canned goods, cookies, breads and many unique craft items for your gift giving.
Annual Christmas sale at Immaculate Conception
The annual Christmas cookie, candy and gift sale will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at Immaculate Conception Church, 145 Second Ave. NE. in Rice. An assortment of cookies and candies will be trayed up and available for purchase. Handmade and specialty gifts are also for sale by local vendors. St. Joseph Park & Rec to host two events
Elf Hunt will be held Dec. 12-18; the first clue will be posted on the City of St Joseph Facebook page by 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12. If you figure out the first clue and find the Elf, the business will hand you the next clue. There will be four elves hidden at four different locations. A second event, Learn to Skate, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7 at Memorial Park ice rink, 33 Second Ave. NW, in St Joseph. Join us for some skating tips and a quick lesson with coaches from the St Cloud Figure Skating Club. All ages and skating levels are welcome.
WinterWalk set Dec. 2-3 in dowtown St. Joseph
Food, drinks, kid crafts, Santa and a tree-lighting ceremony will be featured during the 10th annual JoeTown WinterWalk Festival in downtown St. Joseph. The festivities will take place from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 and from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4.
The free event includes a time for children to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus on the Bello Cucina patio, a tree-lighting ceremony on the St. Joseph Parish lawn (7 p.m. Friday) and more.

Hey sports fans, BBBS littles need you
Sports Buddies is a fun way to mentor through participating and spectating sports.
In this initiative, one-to-one mentoring friendships between an adult and youth are formed while engaging in athletics. Bigs make a six-month commitment with the option to continue their match after the six-month mark. They will attend one to two events per month organized by BBBS staff. Activities will be about two hours long and primarily on a Tuesday or Thursday evening, but this will depend on the activity. A six-month calendar will be provided. The Big will only spend time with their Little at BBBS Sports Buddies events or at BBBS agency-sponsored activities. The Little’s family is responsible for coordinating transportation to and from activities. The BBBS program coordinator will conduct all scheduling and communication between Big, Little and Little’s family.
