Claire Idzerda of Sartell was recently named to the fall dean’s list at the University of Sioux Falls. Idzerda is majoring in elementary education. To qualify, students must have a minimum 3.5 grade-point average.
The Jolly Trolley collected almost five tons of food and raised more than $4,100. These amounts are the most the Jolly Trolley has ever collected in a single year! Metro Bus thanks all those whose contributions helped those most in need in our community, especially the volunteers who helped staff the locations each night, load the buses with food, and deliver the donations to Catholic Charities Emergency Services, Promise Neighborhood of Central Minnesota and St. Cloud Area Salvation Army. Special thanks also goes out to the following: Townsquare Media and John Uran for coordinating and helping publicize the events; Locations for each of the public donation events (Coborn’s on Cooper in St. Cloud, Lunds & Byerlys and Coborn’s in Sauk Rapids); Royal Tire, SpartanNash, Lunds & Byerlys, North Central Bus and Gate City Bank for large food and monetary donations; Green Mill, House of Pizza-St. Cloud and House of Pizza-Sartell for donating food for volunteers; and Midway Iron for weighing the bus before and after delivery.
