12:26 p.m. Theft. Riverside Avenue N. An officer was dispatched to a report of keys being stolen for a vehicle but not the vehicle. The officer called the complainant who wasn’t willing to offer much information other than his brother had stolen his truck keys. The officer was able to locate a phone number for the brother and called him. The brother explained to the officer the man has two vehicles, one with ignition interlock and one without. The brother stated he would return the keys once both vehicles had ignition interlock; he had the keys to the vehicle that didn’t have interlock. The officer confirmed the caller was to have ignition interlock until May of 2024 in any vehicle he operated. The officer tried calling the complainant back, but it went to voicemail.

4:35 p.m. Vandalism. CR 120. An officer was requested to call a complainant about her vehicle being vandalized. The officer spoke to the caller’s son and learned the day before he had been driving in St. Cloud and had passed a white van driving slow. The van followed the man to the Walmart parking lot. The man stayed in his vehicle until he saw the van drive away. The man went into the store, came out, drove home and then noticed he had four tires with puncture spots. The man called Walmart and they were able to catch the incident on camera, including a license plate of the van. This call is still under investigation.

Jan. 29

Jan. 30
4:31 p.m. Neighbor dispute. Third Avenue NE. An officer was requested to an address for a man walking back and forth in front of the complainant’s residence and the complainant believed it was his neighbor, who he has been having problems with. Once the officer arrived, the caller came outside and stated no crime had occurred, but he wanted no contact with his neighbor. While the officer spoke to the complainant, the neighbor came outside. The officer spoke to him, and he stated he was just trying to give the caller a copy of a Sartell City Ordinance relating to a light that was mounted on his house and shining into his yard. The officer advised the neighbor that the caller wanted no contact with him, and he stated he understood and walked away from the officer.
