The dog kennels are plum full at the Tri-County Humane Society, and that is why TCHS has launched a “Spin for your Sweetheart” sale.
There are just too many dogs and not enough cages to house them, and since TCHS does not place time limits on their sheltered animals, it finds creative ways to inspire adoptions.
Here is how it works: Visitors to TCHS can choose a dog, then spin a wheel to determine how much the dog will cost them – anywhere from $50 to $200 (not including tax). All the dogs have been spayed and neutered. People can choose their dogs from any that are 6 months or older.
Those who seek cats as house pets rather than dogs can also get in on a good deal. The TCHS’s “Fabulous Five Dollar Feline” promotion allows adopters to choose up to two adult cats (6 months or older) or up to two kittens (younger than 6 months) – two for the price of one, $5.
