Sartell

These are some concerns I have related to the newly seated members of the Sartell-St. Stephen school board.

I’m concerned about their poor conduct. As when they mockingly applauded a student who addressed them during a meeting.

I’m concerned about their comfort with conflict and conflict of interest. As they seek to create division and conflict within our schools and the conflict of interest that arises from being founding members of a politically motivated group that desires these ends.

I’m concerned about what they are comfortable to condone. As they condone through their inability to not speak out against those on “their team” as they flout ethical expectations on meeting decorum and disrespect community members.

I’m concerned about their commitment to the community. As they appear to be only committed to those who align with their ideology and motives rather than representing ALL parents, students and educators within our district.

I’m concerned about the level of concern they generate. As they have created unease and concern throughout the community as they appear to be unconcerned with the problems their actions have created.

These are some things that give me comfort related to the current state of the Sartell-St. Stephen school board.

I am comforted by the community. As the majority the community does not condone the behavior of these politically motivated board members and that they stand in caring and compassionate support of our champions of public education. We applaud the administrators, faculty and staff as they continue to build, inspire and teach our children to be as compassionate as they are brilliant.

I am comforted by the connection within our community. As a parent of two Sartell High School students, I am invested in the well-being of our district and have been able to connect with many who want greatness within our schools.

If you share the same concerns as above and want to elevate what our district can achieve, know that there are connections to be made. Connections that will consolidate our ability to show support for our educators. Connections that will help support your voice and strengthen our community.
I support our educators.
