June 6
7:52 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. Crossings Loop. While an officer was on routine patrol, they came across a vehicle strangely parked at a business. A closer look, the officer noticed the vehicle was spray painted white and unoccupied. The officer ran the vehicle and found it was clear and OK.

June 7
3:21 p.m. Theft. Mockingbird Loop. An officer called the complainant regarding items stolen off their porch. The officer was told an unknown party took three gnome statues and a solar light lighthouse. There was a Ring doorbell, but it did not appear to be activated during the theft. The homeowner wanted the incident documented for the time being.

June 8
12:11 p.m. Suspicious activity. 18th Avenue N. Officers were dispatched to a home where security cameras were showing a man looking in windows. The officer was told the complainant could see a man with a blue sweatshirt and backpack looking in the north side window of his home. Officers responded and checked the home; everything appeared to be secure and not tampered with. The caller called back a short time later to let officers know it was his son’s friend, he was trying to prank him.

June 9
9:53 p.m. Speed trailer. Riverside Avenue. An officer set up the speed trailer to assist with warning drivers of the parade route and time.

June 10
4:40 a.m. Domestic. Officers were dispatched to a domestic in progress. Victim reported she was choked and could not breathe during the assault. The suspect left before officers arrived but was taken into custody a short time later and booked into the Stearns County Jail.

June 11
8:21 p.m. Suspicious person. Pinecone Road S. Officers were called for a report of a woman with hospital tape over her eyes and wearing all white asking customers for help or to provide a ride. Officers arrived on scene and met a woman in front of the strip mall. The woman did have tape over her eyes and face and stated it was for personal reasons and she did not need medical help. The woman was polite and cooperative and was only looking for a ride to Rogers or the Clearwater area. Officers exhausted every option to find her a place to go or offer means of support. The woman declined all offers unless it was a ride south, and the woman started walking south with her bags.

June 12
10:26 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. Fifth Street N. While on routine patrol, an officer observed vehicle headlights in the back parking lot of a school. The officer drove up to the vehicle and it appeared unoccupied. The officer approached the vehicle and found a woman and man laying back in their seats. The officer asked them what they were doing, and they said they were having issues with their hammocks and came to this location to watch a movie. The officer identified them and asked them to find a new place to hang out that wasn’t a school property or a city park.

June 13
12:58 p.m. Animal bite. 10th Avenue N. A woman came into the Sartell Police Department to speak to an officer about an animal bite incident that the hospital wanted her to report. The woman said today while driving she noticed a light blue sedan swerve toward a squirrel on the roadway. The woman got out of her car and observed two teenage boys get out of the sedan. She stated as she was approaching, one of the boys picked up the injured squirrel and threw it at her. The woman caught the squirrel but while doing so it bit her. The boys left the area. The woman told the officer she went to the hospital and the staff there told her she needed to report the incident to police.

June 14
4:05 p.m. Juvenile problem. Fifth Street N. An officer was dispatched for a juvenile problem. The caller had received secondhand information that juveniles were in the wooded area between Pine Meadow School and Sartell Middle School and were attempting to start a fire. The officer arrived and drove through all the paths in the wooded area and did not hear or see any kids.

June 15
6:07 a.m. Medical. Riverside Avenue S. An officer was dispatched for a medical after a man had crashed on his bike and suffered a head injury. The officer spoke with the man who was conscious, alert and sitting upright. The man told the officer he had biked to Sartell to do some fishing and didn’t see that the pavement and the concrete were uneven along the side of the road and struck that with his front tire causing him to crash. The man was treated at the scene for his injuries and the officer gave him and his bike a ride home.

June 16
2:09 a.m. Suspicious activity. 12th Avenue N. An officer was dispatched for a car alarm going off. The caller said the alarm was going off but did not see anyone in the area. The officer arrived and spoke with the caller who said the alarm was not their vehicle, but there was one going off. The officer searched the area but found nothing.

June 17
10:54 p.m. Fireworks complaint. Providence Lane. A caller reported a grad party was lighting off fireworks in the neighborhood. No one was lighting off fireworks when officers arrived and there was no evidence of fireworks on the road. The officer drove through the area for several minutes and no other fireworks went off.

June 18
4:02 p.m. Theft. Central Park Boulevard. Officers were dispatched to Pinecone Central Park for a theft complaint. The caller stated a purse had been taken from their vehicle, which was unlocked at the time. The purse contained cards and IDs. The caller said they had an Apple Tracker in their purse which tracked the suspect to Little Falls. The purse was recovered by Little Falls Police Department. Its should be noted five thefts occurred during this time, three had windows broken to gain entry.

June 19
8:16 a.m. Elevator alarm. Connecticut Avenue S. Officers responded to an elevator alarm. A woman was inside the elevator. Officers were advised by dispatch that there was a power glitch. While enroute, officers were advised to cancel as the elevator came back online as soon as power was restored, and the woman was able to exit the elevator.

June 20
12:19 p.m. Burglary. Roberts Road. Officers responded to a burglary complaint. The victim thought they had inadvertently left their garage open overnight. While checking the garage in the morning, the victim noticed 17 pairs of Nike shoes, drywall and paint supplies and a vacuum were taken. The items were valued at about $1,000. There are no suspects currently.

June 21
8:12 a.m. Traffic stop. Seventh Street N. An officer was on patrol heading east on Seventh Street N. and noticed a vehicle heading west at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was clocked going 45 mph in a 30-mph residential road. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver. The driver was cited for speeding.

June 22
9:47 p.m. Bike theft. Troop Drive. A caller reported his Schwinn bicycle that was electric powered, was stolen. The victim said he parked the bike in the back lot along the walking path earlier in the day and when he came back it was gone. The victim told the officer the bike was not locked up. The bike is valued at roughly $850. The bike was found the following day lying in some tall grass along the bike path.

June 23
10:17 a.m. Shoplifting. CR 120. Officers received a shoplifting complaint. A store employee said a man, who they had previous contact with, entered the store and filled a backpack full of merchandise and left without paying. The total amount lost from the incident was more than $100. The suspect left before the police arrived. Officers are working with the business to secure surveillance video.

June 24
3 a.m. Fire alarm. Brianna Drive. Officers were dispatched to a report of fire alarms going off. No alarms were sounding when officers arrived on scene. Officers checked the building until Sartell Fire arrived on scene. Fire crews say an alarm panel was indicating something was wrong with the system. Everything was back to normal, and the scene cleared.

June 25
9:43 p.m. Verbal dispute. Brianna Drive. Officers were dispatched to a verbal dispute. The caller said her daughter was verbal with her and took her phone. The caller said she wanted her phone before she left and believed her daughter hid the phone somewhere. The daughter denied knowing where the phone was and allowed officers to look. The mother ultimately agreed to leave without her phone and officers gave her a ride to a hotel for the night.

June 26
8:14 a.m. Tampered vehicle. 10th Avenue N. Resident reported an unknown person(s) went through his vehicle last night. He said he didn’t notice anything missing but wanted to make a report. This is a good reminder to lock your vehicles at night and keep all valuables out of sight.
