A house in St. Joseph Township was engulfed in flames in the middle of the night, Oct. 3, according to a news release from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
The property owner, Trent Henkel, 31, was not home at the time of the fire. There was no word of any potential victims.
The home is located at 8942 Ivy Road, St. Joseph Township.
The fire was reported at 3:17 a.m. to the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center. At the scene, firefighters evacuated people from nearby residences in that neighborhood area.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the fire departments of St. Joseph, Waite Park, Cold Spring, Rockville and St. Augusta. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
