The Sartell-St. Stephen School Board has selected four semi-finalists to interview for the school district’s superintendent position. The semi-finalists are:
• Kevin Grover, Superintendent – International Falls (Minn.) Public Schools
• Dr. Michael Rivard, Assistant Superintendent – St. Cloud Area School District
• Timothy Rohweder, High School Principal – Proctor (MInn.) Public Schools
• Dr. Kurt Stumpf, Superintendent – Pequot Lakes (Minn.) Public Schools
The semi-finalists were selected from a pool of applicants based on criteria established by the school board, as well as survey input provided by Sartell-St. Stephen stakeholders.
School Board Chair Tricia Meling shared, “We are grateful to the Sartell-St. Stephen staff, families and community for the input they shared in our stakeholder survey held earlier this year. Their input has been crucial to make sure the most qualified candidate is selected for our district. We also appreciate the continued guidance and support from the Minnesota School Boards’ Association during the selection process.”
The school board has scheduled interviews for the semi-finalists beginning Wednesday and Thursday, March 6 and 7. The time for these interviews has changed to 5:30 p.m. (they were scheduled previously to start at 4:15 p.m.). All interviews will be held at Sartell High School (in Watab 101 and 102) and are open to the public. Interviews will not be livestreamed or recorded.
Meling concluded, “There is an additional opportunity for public input during the second round of interviews at 4:15 p.m. Monday, March 11. ISD 748 staff, parents/guardians and community members interested in providing feedback about each candidate’s strengths and opportunities for growth using an online tool provided by MSBA should complete an interest form by 5 p.m. Friday, March 1.”
Sartell-St. St. Stephen parents/guardians and community members who are interested in serving on Monday, March 11 should complete the form at www.isd748.org/March11_interest and staff should complete the form at www.isd748.org/March11_interest_staff. MSBA will notify those randomly chosen the week of March 4.
