Twelve people were honored with “Life Saving” awards by Sartell Police Chief Brandon Silgjord at the Feb. 26 city council meeting. They were honored for helping save the life of Sartell resident Ray Schwenzfeier after collapsing in his home of a heart problem on Thanksgiving Day last year. From left to right are Ray Schwenzfeir, his son-in-law Matthew Schmitz and wife Kari, son-in-law Steve Muenchow and wife Julie, deputy Andrew Troen, ambulance paramedic Hanna Abraham and Sartell police officers Taylor Bartlett and Logan Eck. The award-winners who could not attend are dispatchers Logan Lunde and Kara Marceau-Scharf, deputy Jordan Ulbricht and paramedic Dionna Steele.
