This summer in Sartell (and other nearby cities) young people ages 17 and under will be able to ride Metro buses on fixed routes for free until Aug. 31.
The free rides began June 1.
To ride free, just show the bus driver a student ID card or a Metro Bus U-Go Free ID card. To obtain a U-Go Free card, visit the following website: ridemetrobus.com/ugofree.
Then when you see U-Go Free Summer Youth Program, click on “Learn More.” You will see an application form. If you are age 17 or under, have an adult fill out the short application form. The adult does not have to be a parent, but the name signed on the application must match the name on the free pass when it is picked up in person.
Two weeks after the application form is submitted online, the free bus cards can be picked up at the Metro Bus Transit Center at 510 First St. S. in the downtown St. Cloud area.
