Leanna Chlan of St. Joseph was recently named to the spring dean’s list at the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth. Students must achieve a minimum 3.75 grade-point average to earn this honor.
St. Cloud Area AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP and United Way of Central Minnesota were recipients of the Greater Minnesota Volunteerism Grants program. Seniors RSVP was awarded a grant of $22,200 and United Way of Central Minnesota was awarded $24,000. The Greater Minnesota Volunteerism Grants are designed to enhance organizational efforts to leverage volunteers to address or minimize disparities in access to these human services, with a focus on those who are at risk of homelessness, hunger, poverty, lack of health care or deficits in education.

Four St. Joseph students were recently named to the spring dean’s list at the University of Minnesota Duluth. They are the following: Rylee Bokelman, Ashley Jungles, Courtney Larson and Mackenzie Lee. Students must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average to earn this honor.
Three St. Joseph students were recently named to the spring president’s list at Bemidji State University. They are the following: Sarah Buchanan, Abigail Dierkes and Latia Walker. Students must achieve a minimum 4.0 grade-point average to earn this honor.
Felix Shouse Tourino of St. Joseph was recently named to the spring dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. To be eligible, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester.
Lindsey Zimmer of St. Joseph was recently named to spring dean’s list at South Dakota State University, Brookings. Students must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average to earn this honor.
The Friends of North Park, The Great River Children’s Museum and St. Cloud Technical and Community College have received grants from the Norman C. Skalicky Foundation Fund. The Friends of North Park in Albany received $500,000, for its picnic shelter project ($250,000) in 2024 and for its splash pad project ($250,000) in 2025; The Great River Children’s Museum received $250,000 for programming; and the St. Cloud Technical and Community College received $250,000 for its scholarship fund.
The Minnesota Twins Community Fund donated two Junior Twins Equipment Kits to St. Joseph Recreation Department.
