The driver of the first vehicle stated they were in the left turn lane and continued through a green light, when a second vehicle failed to stop for the light and collided with the other vehicle causing minor damage. No one was hurt and neither vehicle needed to be towed from the scene.

Nov. 27
3:17 p.m. Juvenile problem. 21 CR 120. Officers were called to the store for a juvenile problem. The caller stated their son had taken candy from the store without paying for it and wanted an officer to speak to their son. Officers spoke with the boy about the consequences of taking things that did not belong to him. No further issues.

Nov. 30
1:26 p.m. Property damage. 801 Pinecone Road N. The caller stated someone had caused damage to the fence at the golf course the previous day. Officers arrived and found three fence posts broken and other parts of the fence lying on the ground. Officers did not find any tire tracks or evidence to suggest a vehicle struck the fence. Officers believe someone would have had to pull on the fence to break it. It is unknown who or what caused damage to the fence at this time.

Dec. 3
9:54 p.m. Dispute. First Street NE. The caller stated they got into a verbal dispute with a co-worker. The caller stated their co-worker got in their face and was yelling at them. The caller stated they had reported it to management, however, felt they weren’t taking it seriously. The caller wanted the incident documented in case things escalated.

Dec. 4
2:38 a.m. Driving complaint. Second Street N. Officers responded to a driving complaint in the area. The officer was able to locate the vehicle along Riverside Avenue and followed it for a while before it drove out of town. The officer observed no driving conduct issues, and no contact was made.

Dec. 7
4:46 p.m. Traffic stop. Hwy. 15/18th Street N. While conducting a previous traffic stop along Highway 15, with emergency lights activated, another vehicle heading north in the right lane drove past the emergency vehicle, with no attempts to move over. A second officer at the scene followed the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The officer spoke with the driver, who was unsure why they didn’t move over despite knowing the “Move Over Law.” The driver was given a citation for failing to move over for an emergency vehicle with lights activated.
