Nov. 12
8:56 p.m. Gun shot/fireworks. Jade Road. Officers were dispatched to a gunshot complaint coming from behind Kennedy Community School. A caller reported hearing gunshots and then two vehicles leaving from behind the school. Officers responded and searched the area. While searching, a witness reported to an officer the noise was fireworks and he shined a spotlight on the individuals who left the area.

Nov. 14
2:20 p.m. Crash with injuries. 15th Avenue NE/Elm Street E. Officers arrived on scene at North Central Distributing and observed a vehicle on its roof in a dry water retention pond. Officer attempted contact with the driver who was unresponsive and had no pulse. Driver was pulled out of the vehicle and CPR was started. Ambulance and rescue crew was able to get a pulse back and transported patient to the St. Cloud Hospital.

Nov. 15
1:19 p.m. Suspicious person. Complainant came to police office to report she arrived home from work at approximately 11:15 p.m. last night and observed a man in her yard who was in a wheel chair. She said she knows where he lives. Complainant said the man told her he was going to camp in her yard and keep the students away for her, also putting up cameras. Complainant reported she felt this was awkward and didn’t want him there, but also didn’t want to make him mad. Officer advised complainant if she wanted to she could tell him to leave if he shows back up, or she could call the police and have them come over to remove him if he shows back up. Complainant said she would call if he comes back to camp in her yard. Officer advised police then could identify him and find out exactly what he is up to. She agreed.

Nov. 17
4:19 a.m. Fake ID. Second Avenue NW. Officer was dispatched to a false ID at Kwik Trip West. The complainant stated around 11:40 p.m. a man attempted to purchase a pack of Marlboro red cigarettes. Complainant said the man handed him the ID. When complainant went to scan the ID, it did not register. Complainant then stated the man appeared to be shorter than what the license was saying. The man also had a beard, and the license picture has a man with no beard. Officer will contact Kwik Trip to get video.

Nov. 19
2:48 p.m. Impaired driver. Elm Street E. Officers were dispatched to a driving complaint of an impaired driver. Officer made contact with the driver as he arrived at his residence. The driver was ultimately arrested on suspicion of DWI.

Nov. 20
6:19 p.m. Equipment failure. CR 75/CR 133. A caller reported the traffic light was not functioning properly. Officer responded and observed the turn lane traffic light off of eastbound CR 75 to go north on CR 133 was stuck on a red arrow. The officer had dispatch notify Stearns County maintenance.

Nov. 22
10:16 a.m. Missing person. Minnesota Street W. An officer was dispatched to a missing person who was last seen at Sal’s Bar. Spoke with the missing person’s mother who stated her son Evan was at Sal’s Bar with his brother Austin the previous night. Mother stated Austin attempted to find Evan around 12:30 a.m. to leave the bar. Austin was then unable to find Evan. The officer gathered information for a missing person, then received a call from Austin a short time later who stated they found Evan at St. Johns and don’t need anymore assistance from police.

Nov. 23
9:43 p.m. Medical. Sixth Avenue NW. Officer dispatched to a medical for a woman with stomach pain; arrived on scene and gathered patient info. Rescue and ambulance arrived on scene and took over patient care. Victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Nov. 24
1:41 a.m. Noise complaint. 410 Minnesota St. W. Officer was dispatched to a noise complaint. The complainant stated there was loud music coming from a neighboring apartment, that there was also a strange smell and also mentioned loud kids outside. There was no one outside when the officer arrived but bar close had recently occurred, for the cause of noise outside. The officer walked through the apartments and did not hear any loud music or sounds, called the complainant who said neighboring apartment had loud music when she called. Officer advised her to call again when its occurring, and did not make contact with anyone as no sounds were heard.

Nov. 29
4:57 p.m. Custody dispute. Jasmine Lane. Officer was dispatched to a child custody dispute. The caller, who is the father of a 3-year-old juvenile, reported he was at the mother’s address to pick up his child and was unable to. He stated a custody exchange was supposed to happen today. He mentioned the mother of the child believed there was a violation of the custody agreement, but he stated there wasn’t. He wanted the incident documented. The officer spoke with the mother over the phone, who stated the custody agreement was violated, so pickup was not supposed to occur until tomorrow. I told both parties this would be documented.

Nov. 30
11:59 a.m. Follow-up phone call. Dale Street E. An officer was dispatched to a follow up phone call. Complainant reported there was a vehicle parked on the grass at his grandma’s house and she got a ticket for it. Complainant said grandmother is in Arizona. The vehicle has a dead battery and he is not able to move it until tomorrow or Monday. Complainant requested the vehicle not get a ticket. The officer advised him they could not promise a ticket would not be issued and the vehicle does need to be moved ASAP. He understood.
