Jan. 21
11:29 a.m. Hazard. Evergreen Drive/CR 1. Officers were dispatched to the area after a semi-truck and trailer had a large piece of electrical equipment fall off the trailer. The driver stated they were going around the roundabout when the piece of equipment fell off. A crane arrived to load the piece of equipment back onto the trailer. Officers provided lights and shut down the roadway while the work took place.

Jan. 23
8:19 p.m. Shoplifting. 21 CR 120. Officers responded to a shoplifting complaint. The caller reported the suspect was stealing more than $100 in Nicorette gum. Staff said they were able to recover the items before the suspect left in a vehicle. As officers were reviewing store video, a St. Cloud officer stated they had stopped the suspect vehicle. The driver told the officer they had just dropped off the suspect at his St. Cloud apartment. Officers confirmed the suspect lived at the St. Cloud address and mailed a citation for misdemeanor theft.

Jan. 25
8:35 p.m. Dispute. Second Street N. Officers responded to a domestic dispute. Both parties said they were very emotional and verbally attacked one another, but nothing physical occurred. Both parties agreed to separate for the night to cool off. Officers provided some resources to try should things escalate again.

Jan. 27
3:56 p.m. Hit and run. Pinecone Road. The caller reported a vehicle had hit a parked car in the parking lot. Officers spoke to the driver who stated they had swung out and hit the rear bumper of the parked vehicle. Both parties exchanged information and officers cleared.

Jan. 29
3:04 a.m. Unwanted. Le Sauk Drive. Officers were dispatched for two unwanted men in the lobby area. Officers spoke with one of the men who stated they were trying to rent a room and was asked to leave. He stated he was unfamiliar with the area. Officers suggested other options, but the man was unsure how to get there and didn’t want to use his GPS in fear of being followed. Both parties left a short time after and officers cleared.

Feb. 1
10:30 a.m. Gun complaint. Scout Drive. The caller reported people with rifles near Scout Drive. Officers arrived to find four juveniles playing Airsoft guns in the gravel pit. The juveniles were advised of the city ordinance and that the pit was private property. They were cooperative and left the scene and their parents notified.
