When you walk into any of our schools, you can feel it that we are one big school community. We may have five buildings, but we are all connected, working together to create great experiences for our students.
Middle schoolers are mentoring intermediate schoolers in Spanish; elementary students are learning from theater performances by their older peers; and our high-school photography students are capturing moments that showcase our learners. Whether it’s a “Bingo Night” filling the gym or students volunteering across our district, it’s clear Sartell-St. Stephen is more than just a collection of schools. Indeed, we are a family.
With enrollment for the 2025-26 school year underway, we are proud to offer a comprehensive educational journey that begins with early learning and continues through primary, intermediate, middle school and high school. Each of our five schools plays a vital role in developing well-rounded students prepared for the future.
Early Learning: Our youngest learners build a strong foundation through engaging, play-based education that fosters curiosity and social development.
Primary School: Students take their first steps in structured learning, developing essential literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills in a nurturing environment.
Intermediate School: At this level, students expand their knowledge through deeper academic exploration, increased independence and hands-on learning experiences.
Middle School: Our middle school bridges the transition from childhood to young adulthood, providing opportunities for collaboration, critical thinking and personal growth.
High School: Sartell High School prepares students for the next steps on their journey, whether that be college, career or other post-secondary paths. Academic rigor, career exploration, extracurricular activities and leadership opportunities equip students with the skills they need for success.
Our connectedness as a district extends beyond the classroom. Our students can also serve as mentors with the “Big Brothers Big Sisters” organization, creating meaningful relationships and positively impacting local youth.
From early childhood through graduation, Sartell-St. Stephen Schools provide a seamless and supportive learning experience. Our schools work together to ensure students feel connected, engaged and empowered at every stage of their education. This collaboration strengthens our community and prepares students to become lifelong learners and leaders.
Minnesota Student Survey
The State of Minnesota administers the Minnesota Student Survey, an anonymous voluntary online statewide survey every three years. The MSS, one of the longest-running youth surveys in the nation, began in 1989 and is conducted to gain insight into the world of students and their experiences. The school district has participated in the MSS since 2016.
Students in grades 5, 8 and 11 can participate and have the option to answer as many, or as few, questions as they wish. The input from the survey, which is anonymous, helps educators and policymakers better understand and support student needs.
Parents/guardians received notices about the survey earlier this month that included details about reviewing the questions and steps for opting out. Families should contact the district office with questions.
Our district continues to be committed to transparency and parental involvement. We encourage you to reach out with any questions.
Moving forward
We believe strong schools are built on strong community partnerships. The dedication of our students, staff and families makes Sartell-St. Stephen an outstanding place for learning and growth. By working together, we continue to strengthen our district and create meaningful experiences for all students.
