Feb. 18
4:41 p.m. Harassment. 10th Avenue N. The caller reported her daughter has been getting harassed in school. The caller stated they had met with school staff, who had told the students to stop but nothing seemed to help. The caller inquired about filing a restraining order, which officers explained the process. The complaint was sent to the SRO to follow up with all parties involved.
Feb. 21
6:37 a.m. Unwanted. Roberts Road. Officers responded to an unwanted call. The caller reported there were two men sleeping in the building’s library who don’t live there. Officers arrived and spoke with both parties, who stated they were supposed to crash with a resident in the building, but they didn’t answer their phone. Both parties were asked to leave, and officers gave them a ride to Coborn’s to wait for someone to pick them up.
Feb. 22
11:05 a.m. Dumping/littering. Sundance Road. The caller reported the dumpsters on the backside of a nearby business frequently have the lids open, allowing garbage to blow into their yard. The officer spoke to the manager of the business, who stated they will remind staff to make sure the lids are closed to avoid this from happening again.
Feb. 25
2:38 p.m. Theft. 15th Street S. The victim stated when they got to their vehicle this morning, they noticed the glove box was open and emptied on the front passenger seat. The suspect had also gone through the center console and took about $500 in cash. There was no damage done to the vehicle and the victim stated the car automatically locks when they walk away from the vehicle. There is no suspect currently. The victim was reminded to make sure their car doors were locked and not to keep cash or other valuables inside.
Feb. 27
13:57 p.m. Finance. Seventh Street N. A resident stated they had received multiple calls from an unknown bank. When she looked up the bank online and called them, she was advised there was a pending loan in her name, and they needed more information. When she asked how much the loan was for, she was advised they couldn’t say. The caller stated she did not give out any information and is not out any money at this time. Officers advised her to put a lock on her credit and to keep a close eye on her accounts.
Feb. 28
2:10 p.m. Disorderly. 19th Street S. Officers were dispatched to a disorderly woman who was swearing at her children making several people uncomfortable. The suspect left before the police arrived, but another resident did get a license plate. Officers were able to identify the individual and contacted them. The suspect said they were upset someone called the police for raising their voice toward her children. The suspect was told they would be trespassed from building.
March 2
8:57 a.m. Traffic stop. Riverside Avenue. Officers were on routine patrol when they saw a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed limit. Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver who stated their friend was late for work. The driver was issued a citation for speeding.
