Regarding Ramanathan’s April 4 column: If Khalil’s protests were so “peaceful,” how is it the university sustained more than $30,000 in damage, saw Jewish students violently harassed, had college and law enforcement personnel threatened and saw university workers taken hostage?

Did Ramanathan miss all of that? Khalil brazenly called for the destruction of the only Jewish state in the world and the elimination of the Jewish people. Read his writings, listen to his speeches; he is very clear. He publicly celebrated the unspeakable, murderous violence visited upon innocent civilians on Oct. 7, and has actively lobbied for the racist BDS movement, the goal of which is the destruction of Israel’s economy. Only useful idiots blame the pathologies of Palestinian life on Israel, and one must be thoroughly ignorant of history to accept Khalil’s sick rewrite of it.

Therefore, in his defense of an avowed terrorist, Ramanathan proves HE, not Maher, is the one unable to distinguish between Hamas and the Palestinian people. Make no mistake: KHALIL INCITED VIOLENCE on American soil. He is the uncontested leader of an anti-Jewish, anti-American, violent, fascist movement and his actions went far beyond “speech.” By raising the call to “Intifada,” Khalil encouraged contempt for the rule of law that separates us from barbarity. Khalil is not a citizen. He is a racist thug who hides behind our laws while enjoying the freedoms and protections he would deny Jews. Let him go back to the Hamas.
