Sartell City Administrator Anna Gruber received bouquets of praise from two members of the League of Minnesota Cities at the May 12 city council meeting.
Gruber has served as a trustee for the League and its partnership with the State Insurance Trust Board.
Luke Fischer, the League’s executive director, spoke at the council meeting.
“She (Anna Gruber) is one of the most respected people,” said Fischer. “She is fantastic.”
Another official from the League also praised Gruber, describing her as having been a “level-headed, engaged trustee on our board.”
Both men thanked the city council and city staff for allowing Gruber to work with the League.
“Thanks for letting us borrow Anna for the last couple of years,” one of the officials told the council.
Then both men shook Gruber’s hand at the meeting.
The League’s Insurance Trust was formed in 1980. It is one of the first municipal self-insurance pools in the nation. Its unique partnership with the League of Minnesota Cities results in a holistic, one-stop shop of services for the League’s member cities. The Trust’s unique coverage for property, liability, auto and workers’ compensation provides cities with protection for situations such as land-use litigation, diagnostic testing, auto accidents, cyber security, property damage, sewer backups and much more.
