Ann Doyscher-Domres, an innovative coordinator for the school district and the city, retired end of May from her community engagement specialist job for the City of Sartell.
She was honored that month at a farewell party given by the city and attended by many who admired and valued her work for so many years.
Doyscher-Domres was the program director for the Sartell-St. Stephen Community Education Program from 2007-2022. Then she was named a full-time community engagement specialist for Sartell from 2022 until her recent retirement.
Among her many skills were leadership, program development, coordinating special events, community outreach, facilities operations, marketing, team building, public relations, public speaking, staff development, strategic planning and working with non-profits.
Doyscher-Domres is also a member of the Sartell Rotary Club.
She was crucial in helping form the successful and long-thriving Sartell Senior Connection. She was also helpful in forming the Seniors and Law Enforcement Together group and was influential in helping push for a Sartell Community Center.
“There are so many people to thank for making the last 18 years possible,” Doyscher-Domres wrote in the Sartell Senior Connection newsletter. “I’m honored to have been a part of bringing so many people together . . . Thanks to Sartell-St. Stephen Community Education, the City of Sartell and most of all, thank you seniors – you are what makes the Sartell Senior Connection so vibrant. Keep it up!”
In that same newsletter was a tribute to Doyscher-Domres and her connective, innovative initiatives and programs.
“We want to say ‘Happy Retirement’ to our good friend, Ann-Doyscher Domres. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ann for her years of dedicated service and visionary leadership to our group.”
