May 13
4:34 p.m. Juvenile problem. Sartell Street W. Officers were advised by city staff of some kids climbing on several pieces of construction equipment. The workers asked if officers would speak with the kids to get them to stop. The officer spoke with the construction workers who saw the kids enter a nearby home. The officer spoke with the homeowner who was denying their kids would do something like that but thanked the officer for the message. The officer then cleared.

May 15
3:45 p.m. Personal assist. Dispatch received a call from a child who was home alone and frantic because of the tornado sirens sounding and loss of power in the home. Officers arrived and spoke with the juvenile who was shook up from the storm. Officers waited with the juvenile until an adult was able to pick them up.

May 17
5:25 a.m. Vagrancy. Beetle Boulevard. The caller reported two men sleeping in the lobby. When officers arrived, they spoke with the individuals, who were intoxicated. They stated they had been dropped off to visit a friend and did not have a ride home so they decided to sleep in the lobby. Officers asked the two individuals to leave, and they called for an Uber to bring them home.

May 21
1:09 p.m. Property damage. Riverside Avenue S. Employees with the parks department called to report vandalism in the women’s bathroom at the splash pad. The lid for the bowl of the toilet seat had been smashed and the trim had been ripped off the wall. No suspects currently.

May 24
11:23 p.m. Traffic stop. Riverside Avenue. Officers were patrolling along Riverside Avenue when they saw a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed limit. The officer initiated a traffic stop and advised the driver of their speed. The driver told the officer they only had an ID card because their license was revoked, and they were working on updating it. The driver was cited for driving after revocation and given a warning for their speed.

May 26
3:02 p.m. Citizen contact. 155 CR 120. Officers were on routine patrol when they noticed an elderly man sitting in the grass. The officer stopped to talk with the man who stated he was taking a break from his walk and didn’t need any assistance. The officer cleared.
