June 10
9:07 a.m. Property damage. Central Park Boulevard. Officers were dispatched to a report of vandalism at Central Park. Public Works stated someone had put graffiti on a basketball hoop. Officers photographed the images and stated Public Works could clean it up. No suspects or leads currently.
June 12
11:08 a.m. Crash. Riverside Avenue S./Evergreen Drive. Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the roundabout. The driver of the first vehicle stated they were eastbound on Heritage Drive entering the roundabout. They stated as they were exiting the roundabout onto Evergreen Drive, they were struck by another vehicle heading north on Riverside Avenue S. No one was hurt but one of the vehicles was towed from the scene due to damage on the right rear wheel.
June 15
11:21 p.m. Dispute. Seventh Avenue S. The complainant stated they were with their ex-boyfriend when they started discussing something the complainant didn’t want to talk about and asked the man to bring them home. When they got to the apartment, the man followed the complainant into the apartment. When the man refused to leave, they called police. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the man, who left before officers arrived.
June 17
6:26 p.m. Unwanted. 27th Street N. The caller reported a group of juveniles skateboarding on top of the water plant and wanted them removed. Officers arrived and found the group making skateboard videos on the property. The officers advised the group the property owner would like them to leave, and the group left with no issues.
June 20
11:24 a.m. Theft. 1100 Second Street S. Staff reported a woman had stolen more than $1,000 worth of cosmetics from the store the night before. The staff member said the same individual had also been at their other stores in Sauk Rapids and St. Cloud the night before for the same incident. Photos and videos were sent to the officer to help identify the suspect. Officers are continuing to work to identify the suspect in the theft.
June 22
8:36 p.m. Traffic stop. Second Street S. Officers were on routine patrol when they saw a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed limit. The officer initiated the traffic stop and spoke with the driver, who had a revoked driver’s license. The driver stated they thought they had taken care of everything to get reinstated. Officers issued a citation for driving after revocation and a warning for speed. The driver waited in a nearby parking lot for another driver.
