Two notable events are about to take place this August at the Sartell Community Center – National Night Out and an Ice Cream Social.
National Night Out
The National Night Out event will take place from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 in the “Senior Room” of the community center. Many neighborhoods, including some in Sartell and St. Stephen, host their own National Night Out get-togethers. The one at the community center is for anyone who wants to attend, including those whose neighborhoods will not be hosting such get-togethers.
National Night Out, an annual nationwide event, is a way for residents to get to know their public servants, especially law-enforcement members, firefighters, as well as first responders and emergency medical professionals. By socializing with them, residents learn many tips about how to stay safe in their homes and neighborhoods.
Sartell police and firefighters will attend the event at the community center. Hot dogs, chips and water will be served. Special guests will include the 2025 Miss Sartell, along with the two Sartell princesses.
Ice Cream Social
The Ice Cream Social is a festive occasion to recognize current members of the Sartell Senior Connection and to let others – prospective members – understand how rewarding it is to belong to the Senior Connection and its many events and activities. All are welcome to attend the free event.
It will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12 at the Sartell Community Center. The Riverside Jazz Band will perform from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on the outdoor patio of the Center.
