My reply to Mr. Janagan Ramanathan’s column of Aug. 15 (“Racist attacks on Mamdani expose real extremists”):
As for Mamdani NOT being an antisemite, just a few facts:
He, Mamdani, supports the racist Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement, the aim of which is the destruction of the Israeli economy and therefore the country.
He supported the harassment and expulsion of Jews from Columbia U.
He participated in a racist anti-Jewish video in which he mocked Orthodox Jews.
He refuses to stop using the phrase “From the river to the sea,” a genocidal threat.
In violation of international law, he has threatened the Prime Minister of Israel with arrest and imprisonment.
He refuses to recognize the state of Israel.
Is that enough? I could go on. He is a profound and unapologetic antisemite. When someone tells you what they are, believe them.
