Veteran´s Brunch set Oct. 18
The Sartell Senior Connection will hold the Veteran’s Brunch from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct 18 at the Sartell Community Center, 850 19th St. S., Sartell. Superintendent Michael Rivard will emcee and keynote speaker will be John Swenson, retired Police and Fire Chief for the City of Lino Lakes who served in the Minnesota Army National Guard as a military police officer. Knights of Columbus breakfast Oct. 5
The Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph will hold its first breakfast of the season from 8:30 a.m.-noon Sunday, Oct. 5 at Heritage Hall in the Church of St. Joseph, 12 W. Minnesota St., St. Joseph. Come and enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast of Pep’s pork sausage, St. Joseph Meat Market sausage, pancakes, hash browns, fruit, scrambled eggs, fresh baked caramel and cinnamon rolls, and beverages. Upcoming breakfasts include the following: Nov. 2 and Dec. 7, 2025; and Jan. 4, Feb. 1, March 1, April 12 and May 3, 2026.
Two citywide clean-ups set for Oct. 18
St. Joseph residents should mark Saturday, Oct. 18 on their calendars to remind themselves that on that day there will be two opportunities to safely get rid of unwanted items.
Fall Cleanup
The annual Fall Cleanup is set for Saturday, Oct. 18 throughout the city. Residents who participate in the city’s Refuse Program may place additional refuse curbside by 6 a.m. on Oct. 18. There will be no additional refuse take-away charge for the service. Items to be placed curbside should not cover more than a 6-foot by 6-foot area by the curb.
The following items should not be placed on the refuse pile: appliances and televisions, electronic devices such as computer monitors, tires, pollutants, yard waste and construction waste. (For more on those items, see the following paragraph.)
Appliances, electronics
The appliance, electronics pick-up will take place from 8 a.m. to noon, also on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the pick-up site next to the St. Joseph Public Works facility, located at 1855 Elm St. E.
Residents will be allowed to drop off at that site only two appliances/electronics per household. Only residents who participate in the city’s Refuse Program are eligible to drop off items. Please be prepared to present your ID to confirm residency in St. Joseph.
