A session entitled “Community Conversations on Mental Health” will take place from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 at Whitney Senior Center in Sartell.
The session, sponsored by the National Alliance of Mental Health, will feature a guest speaker followed by a group discussion. The meeting is one of a series of “Community Conversations” throughout the state. The goals are to rally communities to encourage people to talk about mental health and mental illnesses; challenge misperceptions, myths and misinformation; increase knowledge and support; make communities inclusive and free from discrimination; promote prevention and early intervention; and develop strategies for all of the above.
Anyone is welcome to attend the session. The Whitney Senior Center is located at 1527 Northway Drive, St. Cloud.
