Who Lived in My House? at Stearns History Museum
Who Lived In My House?, a workshop designed for people interested in researching the history of their St. Cloud home, will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 21 at the Stearns History Museum, 235 33rd Ave. S., St. Cloud. In this class, archivist Sarah Warmka will explain the steps people should take when tracing a home’s past, and the many resources available in the Museum’s Research Center that help facilitate home history research. What types of jobs did the original residents have? Did someone die in your home? Was the living room used as a wedding chapel? These types of questions can be answered by applying the skills learned in the workshop.
Come early to attend the Intro to the Research Center and Archives class at 9:30 a.m. This class will highlight the many resources available in the Research Center and Archives of the Stearns History Museum, and show how easy they are to access. Beginning at 9:30 a.m. May 21, Warmka will show patrons how to use the archives and all of the different databases and collections that are available. Please RSVP for either or both workshops to Warmka at 320-253-8424 or email swarmka@stearns-museum.org.
