The return of the living snow

photo by Logan Gruber The snow returned on Feb. 3, and while it wasn't exactly welcome, it seemed to be expected. Peter Doyle, of St. Joseph township, was shoveling the sidewalk of his employer Tuesday afternoon. He looked cold, but he seemed fine with the snow. "It almost had us fooled," Doyle said, referring to the warmer temps we have had over the past few weeks.

Tom McCall, of the Northland neighborhood, was shoveling his driveway Tuesday afternoon, and seemed to be enjoying himself. McCall has lived in St. Joseph for about 8 years. He's originally from the St. Cloud area, but moved away for a time to Texas. "This is the first January since we moved back up here that we've had barely any snow," McCall said.
