Highway 22 road closures planned from Richmond to Eden Valley
Motorists will encounter detours, flaggers and delays on Highway 22 between Richmond and Eden Valley as segments of the road close beginning Tuesday, Aug. 7.
Work will begin on the south end of the project. Highway 22 will close between Hutcheson Avenue and the north Highway 22/Stearns County Road 9 junction Tuesday, Aug. 7. A detour will direct motorists along Stearns County Road 9. This segment of road is scheduled to reopen by Wednesday, Aug. 15.
Highway 22 will then close between the north junction of Highway 22/Stearns County Road 9 and Highway 23. A detour will direct motorists along Stearns County Road 43 and Highway 23.
All lanes will reopen by the end of September, weather permitting.
The closures are needed as crews replace pipes beneath the road and resurface, repair and improve nine miles of Highway 22.
