Nicholas Murray of Sartell, recently earned his degree in medicine from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.
George Lock was recently appointed court administrator for Stearns County District Court by judges in Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District. Lock will replace Timothy Roberts, who recently retired after more than 32 years of service with the Minnesota Judicial Branch.
Lock has worked for the Seventh Judicial District in various capacities for 15 years. He has served as the Mille Lacs County Court Administrator for the past nine years and is currently the multi-county Court Administrator for Mille Lacs and Todd counties. Lock is also a certified court executive through the National Center for State Courts, and possesses various post-graduate degrees in legal studies from the United Kingdom. Lock is currently a member of the Drug Court Initiative Advisory Committee of the Minnesota Judicial Council.
As Court Administrator, Lock will oversee Court Administration staff in Stearns County. The office provides staff support for a full range of court operations for the district court, including processing and management of all records and files of the court, as well as providing services to the public, other county offices and the judiciary.
Lock’s appointment becomes effective Aug. 12.
Maschhoff Family Foods, the holding company of the Maschhoffs LLC and GNP Co., recently announced Jason Logsdon, CEO of Maschhoff Family Foods, will be leaving the company to pursue his passion for investing. Logsdon, who started as chief financial officer at the Maschhoffs in 2003 and became CEO of Maschhoff Family Foods in 2012, will join the Maschhoff Family Foods Board and continue to counsel the organization in strategic business areas.
Effective Sept. 8, Tim Schellpeper, most recently president/chief operating officer of Kansas City-based fresh meat and packaged foods company Smithfield-Farmland, will become CEO — assuming leadership of Maschhoff Family Foods. The company also officially named Dr. Bradley Wolter as president of the Maschhoffs — a role he has held on an interim basis since April 2015.
“I truly appreciate the opportunity I’ve had to lead such a tremendous organization,” Logsdon said. “I’m very excited to remain involved in the business while pursuing a long-time personal interest of mine. I will greatly miss the day-to-day leadership of the team, and remain very committed to the success of the organization and the Maschhoff family. I have absolute confidence Tim will do an outstanding job.”
Ken Maschhoff, chairman of the Board, agrees, saying he couldn’t be more pleased with the appointment of Schellpeper as CEO.

According to Maschhoff, Schellpeper is highly passionate about the organization’s mission as well as those of its separate business units. There are no changes expected in the strategies or plans of the organization or its hog and chicken businesses.

This announcement is being made in advance of Schellpeper officially becoming CEO on Sept. 8 to ensure a smooth and seamless changeover. During the next 30-plus days, Logsdon will prepare to transition out of the CEO role, working closely with Maschhoff, Schellpeper and the Executive Committee to ensure business continuity and the transfer of critical business knowledge.
