The construction and operation of a Kwik Trip gas station at the current El Paso location was approved at the Nov. 2 St. Joseph City Council meeting.
The new gas station, which will be located at 200 Second Ave. NW, will not be constructed until spring. Demolition of the El Paso building isn’t slated until sometime after the beginning of 2016, according to the city.
Additional traffic is not expected on CR 75, according to the city, although traffic on Birch Street is expected to increase.
