The fourth annual “Casting for a Cure” will take place starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Blue Line Bar and Grill in Sartell.
There will be free party-time inflatables, a fish-casting contest, a silent auction (closes at 6:30 pm.), door prizes all night and a Lakemaid beer contest starting at 7 p.m. A barbecue special will be served.
Casting for a Cure is a fishing contest in which people catch fish on any Minnesota Lake (registration for that part of the event ended Sept. 5). Winners in various categories are awarded prizes at the Blue Line Bar and Grill Sept. 8.
In three years, Casting for a Cure has raised nearly $60,000 for the local Coborn’s Cancer Center, for the cancer wig program, for hospice care and prayer blankets, to name just some cancer-related causes.
