Thirteen Sartell students recently graduated from St. Cloud State University.
They and their degrees are as follows: Alisha Anderson, bachelor’s in psychology, cum laude; Christy Babcock, a master’s in higher education administration; Haley Guetter, a bachelor’s in psychology, magna cum laude; Zachary Jasmer, associate’s in liberal arts and sciences, cum laude; Jessica Lundsetter, a bachelor’s in psychology, summa cum laude; Tamatha Minter, a master’s in information media; Blake Prososki, a bachelor’s in finance;
Mackensey Stang, a master’s in business administration; Nicholas Volkers, a bachelor’s in marketing; Brandon Waldvogel, a bachelor’s in accounting and a bachelor’s in finance, magna cum laude; Caitlyn Winchowski, a bachelor’s in biomedical sciences; Jaclyn Yasgar, a bachelor’s in finance, summa cum laude; and Katie Yurczyk, a bachelor’s in early childhood education, magna cum laude.
Emma Stambaugh, Sartell, was recently named to the fall dean’s list at North Dakota State University, Fargo. She is majoring in business administration.
Students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade-point average to qualify for this honor.
Fifteen Sartell-St. Stephen students were recently named to the fall dean’s list at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
They and are as follows: Hosam Alkhatib, sophomore, biological sciences; Mohammad Ayyub, freshman, biological sciences; Drew Bertelson, freshman, biological sciences; Matthew Bowe, sophomore, management; Edward Chappell, senior, liberal arts; Emmett Klaphake, senior, food, agriculture and natural resources sciences; Ryan Kororll, sophomore, management; Joshua Lieberg, senior, science and engineering; Matthew Markman, sophomore, biological sciences; Lindsay Page, senior, biological sciences; Malina Peterson, junior, biological sciences; Kaitlin Reichel, sophomore, Col of food, agriculture and natural resources sciences; Zachary Ryan, sophomore, biological sciences; Ryan Scharf, senior, science and engineering; and Avalon Schlecht, sophomore, education and human development. All are Sartell residents which the exception of Klaphake, who is a St. Stephen resident.
Students must earn a minimum 3.66 grade-point average to qualify for this honor.
Five Sartell High School graduates were recently named to the fall dean’s honor list at Concordia College, Moorhead.
They are the following: Rebecca Elliott, daughter of Annette and John Elliott, Rice, a freshman; Megan Franz, daughter of Jody and Mark Franz, both of Sartell, a sophomore; Curt Koopmeiners, son of Candice Koopmeiners, Sartell, a sophomore; MacKenzie Nies, daughter of Kim and Jason Nies, both of Sartell, a sophomore; and Samantha Pratt, daughter of Rhonda and Joel Pratt, Rice, a junior.
Students must earn a minimum 3.7 grade-point average to qualify for this honor.
DeAnn Burns recently joined PineCone Vision Center as patient experience manager.
“DeAnn helps fulfill our vision and commitment to service excellence,” said Dr. Nicholas Colatrella, owner and medical director. “She has tremendous experience creating positive and memorable patience experiences, which makes her a great fit for our team.”
A past health unit coordinator and patient access liaison for CentraCare Health, Burns’ new role is to provide leadership for the development and implementation of patient experience projects. In this role she will identify and improve patient experience through direct observation, patient feedback, patient flow assessments and probing industry resources and standards. Burns will also provide customer-service training for team members.
Melissa Johnson was recently named director of virtual services and delivery channels at St. Cloud Federal Credit Union. She will serve as a member of the senior management team, accountable for the overall strategy and execution in delivery channels, including the virtual experience. In this newly created role she will be responsible for the member experience, employee efficiencies, organizational efficiencies and vendor management relative to delivery channels to identify ways to enhance the experience and outcomes for all.
Johnson was recently senior product manager for NativeX and has an expansive career fostering solutions that maximize performance. She was also a member of the board of directors for St. Cloud Federal Credit Union, transitioning to staff when this opportunity arose. As a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a master’s in business administration, Johnson has both the educational and career experience with more than 20 years in corporate, mid-sized and small companies to advance the credit union’s mission.

Johnson is a devoted leader who is committed to quality time with her family and friends. She also enjoys continuous learning, exploring the latest in technology gadgets, as well as gardening and fishing. She began working at SCFCU in November.
