March 30
10:02 a.m. Theft. Riverside Avenue. A report was made regarding items possibly taken from a car sometime the day before at a business on Riverside Avenue or at a business in St. Cloud.
12:26 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. Roberts Road. A complaint was made regarding a Yellow Cab van that had driven over the curb and parked on the wrong side of the street. Officer spoke to cab driver and determined he was waiting for a customer at their residence and that he was OK to drive.
2:20 p.m. Suspicious person. First Street S. A report was made regarding a person trying to get into a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers determined this person appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Officers learned this person was diabetic, and he was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
March 31
3:27 a.m. Vehicle accident. Hwy 15. An officer noticed a vehicle pulled over to the shoulder and stopped to investigate. Driver stated he hit a deer and was not sure if the vehicle was operational. Vehicle was eventually driven off the roadway into a nearby parking lot.
6:32 a.m. Traffic stop. Pinecone Road/Sundance Road. Officer stopped a vehicle that entered the roundabout without yielding and almost struck the officer’s squad car. The driver stated he were using his phone and not paying attention. The car was uninsured and towed. An officer transported the driver to a nearby gas station to wait for a ride.
11:36 a.m. Vehicle accident. Riverside Avenue. While on patrol, an officer came across a two-vehicle accident just as it was being reported. Both drivers were injured and one driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Both vehicles were towed and the roadway was cleared.
April 1
10:09 a.m. Vandalism. Starlight Drive. A complaint was made regarding a house and yard being vandalized overnight.
11:36 a.m. Traffic stop. Benton Drive. An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding and issued a verbal warning.
2:27 p.m. Juvenile. Champion Field. A complaint was made regarding juveniles throwing rocks at a concession stand or bathroom. Officers made contact with juveniles who said they were throwing rocks into the outfield of the ball diamond. The juveniles picked up the rocks and put them back where they had gotten them from.
April 2
12:52 p.m. Theft. Second Street S. A complaint was made regarding a purse being stolen from a vehicle parked at a business the previous night.
1:09 p.m. Threat. CR 120. A complaint was made regarding another driver following them home after being threatened for sitting too long after the traffic light turned green. An officer spoke with both drivers and determined that each driver displayed poor decision making which escalated the situation. Both were advised that they could be cited for careless driving.
11:51 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. Tenth Avenue N./24 Street N. An officer noticed a vehicle parked at a dead-end street. The officer spoke with both juveniles and advised them to head home.
April 3
10:13 a.m. Vandalism. Anna Avenue. A complaint was made regarding damage to a vehicle the previous night.
11:49 a.m. Vandalism. First Street N.E. A complaint was made regarding a vehicle with a smashed window and open trunk. An officer contacted the owner who determined nothing was missing from inside the vehicle.
3:27 p.m. Domestic. Seventh Street N. A complaint was made regarding a juvenile assaulting a parent. An officer arrived, separated the parties, discussed the seriousness of the juvenile’s actions and no charges were filed.
April 4
1:33 p.m. Break-in. 12th Avenue S. A complaint was made regarding someone trying to break into a building earlier in the morning. An officer arrived and found two door handles broken and viewed the security camera recording of the incident.
3:03 p.m. Motorist assist. CR 120. An officer assisted a driver by unlocking the door of the car.
11:19 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. Sartell Lane. A report was made regarding a suspicious vehicle parked next to a building. An officer arrived and spoke to the driver who stated they were sleeping on a work site and would be there for a few more weeks.
April 5
7:32 a.m. Vehicle. Pinecone Road/Second Street S. A report was made regarding two vehicles colliding south of the roundabout. An officer responded and spoke with the drivers. There was minor damage to the vehicles and no injuries.
10:22 a.m. Alarm. CR 120. Officers were dispatched to a silent hold-up alarm at a business. Dispatchers made contact with an employee who advised there was no problem and that the alarm was triggered by accident.
