Crime Stoppers offers rewards up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for crime.

April 4

3:12 a.m. Agency assist. Park Meadows Drive, Waite Park. Officers assisted with a verbal and ended up transporting an individual to a gas station. It was determined no crime was committed.

9:32 a.m. Personal assist. First Avenue S.E. Police assisted a man in getting back into his wheelchair.

11:55 a.m. Driving complaint. CR 75/CR 2. A report was filed regarding a vehicle slamming its brakes and almost causing a rear-ending. Both drivers were waiting when police arrived. The driver of the reported vehicle claimed the other vehicle was tailgating. No further action was taken.

April 5

3:36 a.m. Extra patrol. Minnesota Street. Police conducted foot patrol and encountered no issues.

10:25 p.m. Motorist assist. CR 75/Old Hwy. 52. A vehicle was spotted stopped on the shoulder of the road. The driver reported he had run out of gas. Officers transported him to a gas station and then returned him to his vehicle.

11:15 p.m. Illegal U-turn. CR 133/CR 75. While on patrol, an officer saw a vehicle make an illegal U-turn on an intersection posted with a No U-Turn sign. The driver was issued a citation.

April 6

4:56 a.m. Speed. CR 75/CR 134. While on patrol, an officer saw a vehicle traveling 20 mph above the speed limit. The officer stopped and identified the driver before issuing a citation.

7:19 a.m. School patrol. Jade Road. Officers monitored hallways and spoke to students and staff, then attended a severe-weather meeting.

7:23 a.m. Business assist. College Avenue N. A vehicle had left a local gas station without paying for fuel. Other items were purchased with a card and management was able to add the charge onto that card.

9:54 p.m. Welfare check. Old Highway 52. A boyfriend and girlfriend were fighting. It was nothing more than verbal. The girlfriend said she would call the police if there were any problems.

April 7

7:14 a.m. School patrol. Jade Road. Officers monitored hallways and spoke to students and staff.

11:08 a.m. Medical. 16th Avenue S.E. Police were dispatched to a medical call to find a man whose oxygen was low. An officer administered oxygen and monitored the man until rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance arrived. They took over care and the man was transported by Gold Cross.

5:28 p.m. Warrant. CR 138. A man with a felony warrant was observed in a vehicle in front of a local school. An officer advised him to get out of his car, stating he was under arrest. The man refused to get out of the car. The driver took off and the man exited the car some time later. He was found and transported to jail. The school was notified of the incident and advised to keep the exterior doors locked.
